In my first weekly challenge, I charged myself with the task of logging all of my foods and all of my water intake for the week, to make sure I was hitting all my counts.
I know my 4 loyal readers have inquiring minds just burning to know how I did…
You'd think it would be really easy to just plug the information into MyFitnessPal online or on the app, but I managed to fail at even that simple task. I think I updated 2 meals 2 different days… and that's it.
Some of it I could chalk up to distraction, but most of my failure can be chalked up to not really wanting to know just how far out of my ideal zone I was really falling.
While I did okay some days and stayed in my target range for carbohydrates, there were a few times that I threw caution to the wind. No grains or processed sugars, of course, but the fresh blackberries from the farmers market were calling my name, begging to be topped with honey-sweetened vanilla whipped cream. The amazingly good chocolate pudding (recipe coming soon!!!) that I fell in love with at the first lick of the spoon lured me with it's siren call. And the glass of extremely awesome blueberry mead that my extremely awesome friends Meg and Dantos shared with me just wouldn't leave my hand until it was empty, refilled, and empty again. Oh, and then there's the…well.
You get the idea.
Since this was an utter failure, and since I suspect I'll be pretty lax while on vaca in Chicago next week, I'm going to start all over again on June 3rd.
